Impact and evaluation

Evidence before claims

ICLI distinguishes programme activity, participant outputs, intended outcomes and verified progression so institutions can see what happened—and what has not yet been established.

Participants record observations and evidence during a programme session.

The evidence chain

Measure each step for what it is.

01

Inputs

Facilitator time, partner contributions, participant support and agreed resources.

02

Activities

Diagnostics, workshops, challenge sprints, coaching, pitching and pathway conversations.

03

Outputs

Attendance, canvases, team charters, prototypes, pitches and next-step plans.

04

Intended outcomes

Changes in skill articulation, confidence, collaboration, opportunity awareness and readiness.

05

Verified progression

Follow-up evidence such as continued activity, applications, introductions or venture milestones—reported separately.

Responsible reporting

Context belongs beside every number.

A published metric should state the cohort, date, numerator, denominator, question or method and relevant limitations. Opportunities listed, introductions made, applications submitted, offers received and starts are different measures and should not be combined.

No measured programme results are currently published on this website. When verified evidence is available, it should be reviewed and presented without turning pilot targets into outcomes.

Programme design

Agree the evaluation before the first session.

01

Baseline

Record the starting point and the participant context needed for responsible interpretation.

02

Visible practice

Use artefacts, observed behaviour and feedback rather than confidence claims alone.

03

Follow-up

Plan suitable 30-, 90- or 180-day checks where the institution and data arrangements support them.

04

Review

Use evidence and limitations to improve delivery and inform renewal or expansion decisions.

Next step

Start with a clear conversation.
